Sol Brothers Southern Bbq - Kīhei

So GOOD. I was missing Kansas City BBQ and this is one of just a couple bbq spots on Maui. I?m telling you it was delicious, the jerk is great but if spice isn?t your style, bbq ribs with Mac n cheese was amazing. Probably a good thing there isn?t a spot in wailuku area or I?d be there all the time

I?m from the south and the island doesn?t have good soul/southern food really, but this spot tasted exactly like home. It?s been so long, I was just happy and that?s how good food should make you feel. I live in Oahu but I was traveling to Maui for work and this was prob one of the best decisions I made. Jerk chicken plate with a large side of Mac n cheese 11/10. Best Beans I?ve ever had to ????????

Wow! We had a craving for ribs, and this place certainly hit the spot. It was one of the best meals I've had during my three weeks in Maui! The ribs were tender, generously sauced, and paired perfectly with sweet BBQ beans and fresh greens. Everything was just perfect, and the portion was huge—six large ribs! To top it all off, we indulged in the Kihei cake, which was absolutely delicious. It was rich, but just right if you're in the mood for something sweet!

The food was enjoyable, but my husband requested fried rice instead of plain rice and was willing to pay extra for it. When we got home, however, we discovered that we had not received the fried rice. Unfortunately, we were too far away to return, and it was our last night in Maui.

Absolutely fantastic! The BBQ rib meat sandwich was delicious! And that mac and cheese? DIVINE! The owners mentioned it’s a family recipe passed down from the wife’s side. You can really taste the love that goes into it! Thank you so much!!
