Huli Huli Chicken And Ribs - Kīhei

Not real huli huli, the chicken had good taste, but was not marinated in fruit juices, like it is supposed to be

We got the huli huli chicken twice while staying in Kihei. On one occasion we used the chicken to make tacos. For the other meal, we simply ate it as part of a meal. We look foward to getting huli huli chicken here on future trips.

The chicken was good, the ribs were GREAT. I often smoke my own ribs and when I order out for ribs, I usually end up asking myself why I didn't just make them at home. Except when I am in the South. Not the case here. I would order these any time. They are that good. Dry rubbed, not smoked. Perfect amount of salt.

Located inside the Kihei Craft Fair and Flea Market enter, make an immediate right turn, and go towards the end, follow the rotisserie chicken smell. For whatever reason, rotisserie chicken in the humid/ windy heat felt appropriate. They take credit card. Got the combo plate. Rice is pre scooped in take out containers no corn only option) and then they add the chicken/ ribs/ meat, which is kept warm in separate containers. At first I was put off by this but then my husband said the chicken was unique and really good, but really, the ribs stole the show they were incredible. He wasn't hungry and actually polished off the ribs. If we were staying longer, we'd be returning, but they're only open 2d/ week. Talking with others in line who I think are locals), they assured me that this place definitely really good. As a visitor, I appreciate that feedback! Quality/Quantity Usually our 4+ star place, but today 's order was dry... I should have asked for a fresh order right off the grill??
