The daal is served in a thaali and you are supposed to hold the makki ki roti in your hands, mash it into the daal and eat. That is the way pahari folks eat this. Absolute home cooked food feeling, full of flavour and great taste Highly recommended
Very heavy food, short menu, I don't know why famous places serve food that is not up to their reputation. From my point of view food was average though makki ki roti was fine but their Dal and curry was not up to the mark. You can go here if you want to try something unique else I won't recommend it.
The dhaba offers a unique combination of food. The USP is makki ki roti cooked by the way of slow wood fire . The typical Sondhi mehek will make you happy. The Mah ki Daal is seasoned with lot of Desi ghee. And a small amount of besan kadhi. Overall the experience is awesome.
Excellent traditional food. Taste is far better than so called big fat dhabas. Limited menu but limitless taste and hospitality. Everytime when we visit Himachal , we can't resist ourselves to have lunch.
Do not miss the Makki ki roti and maah ki daal with a generous serving of ghee. The rotis were crispy yet soft(Baahar se kadhak, andar se naram). The kadhi which was served along was the tastiest i have ever had. Do not miss this place when in Himachal Pradesh.
