Moondog Cafe - Key West

This was our first time visiting ?Key West?and we found this little place along Whitehead Street... It seemed to be a pretty popular place because there was a lot of people there eating...There was no room for us to sit inside so we chose to sit outside and eat..it is connected to the cafe..with painted walls that are colorful...and fans offer a nice breeze...along with some plants to make the setting comfortable while you eat..The setting was beautiful inside and out... I had those smoked salmon Benedict with a side of potatoes and Cajun shrimp? it was warm and delicious the food was excellent at a reasonable price for?Key West Florida?the service was good as well with only about 10-15 min wait on our food...If you visit make sure you try the key lime pie there...It was the first time trying real key lime pie for me and it was so delicious.

Great breakfast with some unique entrees. Service was great, they were happy to see us and they tried hard to accommodate all requests.

Fresh food. Vegan options. Amazing desserts. We had the chicken taco salad and the grilled Caesar. Server was on island time, so be prepared to be there awhile.

My boyfriend and I spent this past weekend in key west. It was their slow season but everywhere we went there was still a wait or a delay in service. We had been disappointed a couple of times but we aren’t the type to leave reviews. On our last evening in key west we went to Moon Dog and we were very surprised. Best food we had during our stay in key west, best service as well. I got a burger and my boyfriend the fish tacos. Both were exceptional and both were recommended by our amazing waiter. He was a young guy and he was fast efficient and made good conversation with us. He made our experience even better. Thank you to Moon Dog for providing the best service and good experience we had in key west. Ps we also took dessert to go and we are so glad we did!

We have been there for Dinner the first time and what shall I say, it was sooo good that we went there for 2 days in a row for breakfast and dinner. Burger, Quinoa Pancakes, French Toast and everything else we had was really tasty. Specially the carrot cake was amazing and one of the best we ever had. For us, most definitely the best restaurant on Key West.
