Agave 308 Tequila - Key West

Awesome margaritas! We came here twice during our long weekend b/c the drinkys were *that* good! Our first night in Key West, we were just strolling around at the end of Duval, across from Mallory Square, we saw Agave 308 decided it was time for a margarita......wowsers! Their menu is extensive w/ lots of different tequilas variations on the margarita. Buddy got the Cucumber Caliente w/ jalapeno it was refreshing w/ a kick I chose the night 's special w/ basil I was loving the smooth savory combo Mr chose the Strawberry was loving the sweetness of the strawberries The next night we had to go back tried their Passion Fruit regular margarita these were equally delicious! The bartender remembered us from the night before was nice as could be this would be a regular stop for us we 'll definitely be sure to see you at our next visit to Key West

This is the best tequila bar in the world! (And the only one I've ever been too, lol! Honestly until this bar, I truly did not know there are smooth tequilas you can actually sip. Just off Duval.

They have creative drinks at this bar. Priced $10-13, but they didn't have much liquor in them. We first went upstairs to the restaurant to ask for 2 for 1 coupons. I heard about doing this on yelp! With the coupon I was okay with the price, but for full price no way. I had the caliente which is made with jalapeno tequila so it had a kick to it. It is a dark interior. There is a bar and also high top tables. There was only one bartender on Friday (national tequila day).....she was super friendly but we had to wait to get our drinks made since they are all made by hand. My friends also ordered food and thought it was ok. When we walked by at 10pm on a Friday there was no one in the bar!!! When we were there at 7pm it was 75% full. Maybe it's only busy early? or really late??

I ran in to this spot just because I needed a bathroom. I walked in and ask the bartender if I could use the bathroom, he said it was across the way.. : I walked out and walked in right away and asked if I could buy something I could use their bathroom he said yes. After my bathroom break lol I kept my promise and bought a drink I'm so glad I did) I sat and checked the menu but then he said do you want a drink that we are famous for, I said yes please. He told me they had just won the Key West People THE BUBBAS AWARD 2017 best margaritas. So he made me the best fresh margarita I have ever had... fresh key west limes Don Julio tequila For only $7.. deal just for that day. I spoke to him for few minutes he's name is John. John you made me the best margarita ever. I walked out and told my husband about it and I let him taste my margarita he loved it, we had to walk back in and order one for him. Great personality, amazing service. Bar is super clean, restroom was super clean too everything smelled as if it was just cleaned. The bar is decorated with a lot of pictures of Dia de los muertos Day of the death) I highly recommend it specially if you want a great chat and the best margarita.

Stopped into this spot for a quick drink prior to a snorkeling trip. The drink I had which was a strawberry Paloma was amazing, my husband had a beer which was as expected but this Paloma was LIFE!! I don't like tequila but this didn't even taste like there was any in it! But I walked away with a little buzz! The only this was that when we were there there was no food available, the bartender said the kitchen was being remodeled, were not from the area so I'll never probably know!!!!
