Aj's Gourmet Burgers - Ketchikan

Loyal costumer for life! I LOVE their online order system or call in an order and pick up on my way home. I don't think you can go wrong with one of her burgers, but her fried Mac and cheese is my son's favorite. My husband and I love their Mac moms, Good Rush and Western. Largest compliment I can give that they are always consistent, friendly, remember their costumes. You even once messed up on my men's order (we noticed it, but it didn't matter) found it on Facebook and wanted to make it right. Of course, we were all right and have nothing to do with it. But this additional step made me a fan I am. I'd rather call AJs on an order and get him home on the way, then waste any time in the fast food journey.

Every time I get a chance for AJ's, it's for the Western Burger! No matter what service is TOP KNOTCH!!! Customer service always wonderful.

Hands down the best western burger. The Lord who took my order was funny and nice. The lady who brought me my food was kind. We've been here for years and I know that the pandemic was stressful..yet have arranged them and remained friendly. I'm sure their security measures aren't unnoticed here.

Okay, now I've eaten four times this week. My pants no longer fit right, there is an unknown interaction with my belt when I sit down, my new ambition on this small island is to try the whole menu. So far it's all good! If you have difficulty deciding to order The 'big boy' It is a simple burger, but it will show you why I love this establishment. Trust me.

This is formerly Rose's Caboose and is now AJ's Gourmet Burgers. Instead of a caboose it's now an orange shipping container. It's about a 10 minute drive north of downtown Ketchikan. If you are on a cruise, you could take a cab or try using the city bus for $2. They have both surf and turf options and has the cheapest bacon cheeseburger in town. You can eat along the water front at a picnic table or they'll bring it to your car. My daughter is working for Tongass Trading this summer and was excited to bring me here. It definitely looks like a local favorite. While waiting for our food we see lots of people who have apparently ordered ahead and have their food delivered to their car window.
