Waffle House - Kernersville

I stayed here on my way home from work on 4/19/22, as it was a "protected for itself" type of day for dinner. I believed Waffle House, so I decided to continue. There were only 1 couple in the restaurant, so it wasn't busy at all. I was able to, Waitress said they have a new menu a few months ago and will be back soon. She added that they often get new menus and prices rise. I ordered my food at 7:52 and they started working on it. I ordered my usual Texas bacon cheese steak melt (including onions) with regular hashbrowns and a sweet tea. Tabby said the tea was a fresh batch. It wasn't bad, but wasn't sweet enough for me haha. I added sugar on the table and it was good to go! My food was ready at 7:56. My food was delicious and definitely satisfied my desire! Have you ever had boiled hashbrowns?? Ew! These were definitely not because they were cooked for perfection. My waitress was Tabby, a name tag. You, along with the female chef (Sandria), we are really sweet and friendly. When it picked up a little, I watched Sandria change their balls frequently and helped Tabby when people started. It was great to see teamwork! After dinner, I had to use the toilet room. I have to admit that the remaining room smells funny... almost like dirty mop water BUT was still clean for Waffle House. Overall, pretty good experience. If I didn't play on my phone, I would have been in 25 or less minutes. There is a jukebox on the window when someone wants to listen to their favorite tunes. No problems or complaints for this visit. A proposal (as if any manager reads this would be to have a way to use coupons without printing them out. I had a free waffle for my birthday and I forgot to print it before I left the job.

The best breakfast I've found for the price! Our server was friendly and accommodating, earning a $22 tip.

I worked for the company for 34 years, so I know what to expect when I visit a Waffle House, though it's not always what I anticipate. However, this particular Waffle House has never let me down. The meal was fantastic, the service was excellent, and the restaurant was very clean. Overall, I am very pleased.

Excellent service. I ordered two plates almost identical. Cheese grits,t-bone steak well done, two scrambled cheese eggs toast. Second plate no cheese in the grits. The woman who took the order was very pleasant and had a very good memory. She did not have to write anything down and got it right! The following is the best part. I called and did not get an answer BUT the message on the answering machine said that they were open although they couldn 't get to the phone. In my book that was really well done. It is great PR with the public. That way I knew I could still head up there and it helped them secure monies from a happy customer like myself. Keep rocking waffle house!

The restaurant was a bit busy, but the service was excellent. I didn't have to wait long for my food, and my coffee was constantly refilled.
