Bidrage med feedbackListen, if you're from Vancouver or any major city with decent/good Indian food, please don't get too excited. If you eat at places like New India or Indian Oven in Vancouver, then feel free to get excited because this is right up your alley. But if you're eating at places like Vij's, Rangoli, Sula or even Maurya, then you'll realize that the comparison that it's on par with the likes of these is just plain absurd. When the food is in a food warmer display, you know it's not going to be crispy or amazing. It'll just be warm. That's what we had here. The pakoras were pretty big and had a lot of veggies in it but was it amazing? No. They were mediocre and not half as delicious or crispy as those at Maurya's lunch buffet. How were the samosas? They were ok. They were the same size as any you'd get anywhere else but they weren't amazing. They were good but not anything to write home about. If you're driving through the town and wanting to avoid disappointing restaurants/dives, then sure stop by and get something to break up the trip a little. But don't make a pit stop thinking you're going to get something out of this world that you'll crave and reminisce when you're somewhere else.
Service needs improvement in the areas of day staff knowing their pricing and managing flow of customers. Super slow today, an off season Tuesday. ! We likely won't stop at this veg/fruit stand in the future as service was just too slow when paying for a couple items.
As a Keremeos resident I'll tell you a secret this is one of the two exceptionally good quality restaurants in Keremeos. This is one of the little gems that you don't find often. Even a lot of the locals haven't tried it yet which is a shame. The food is on par with any good Indian establishment in Vancouver and that says a lot considering it's in a small backwater type town. It's a bit slow in getting recognized and it's a bit tucked away but it's really worth a try.
Awesome authentic Indian, creative decor, good service. Buffet was great, ordering a la carte was even better. Butter chicken is mouth watering, real naan keeps you coming back. Awesome!
Great Indian food. Restaurant opened earlier in 2012 and is a great supplement to their fruit and veggie stand which offers other goods also. Definitely worth a stop on the way through. If you are in a hurry with no time for a restaurant meal, buy the samosas for a quick luncheon treat!
