Doubletree By Hilton Grand Rapids Airport

The room was spacious and clean. Very comfortable and we slept great! The location is fine with some shopping and restaurants close by. Checkout was 12:00 which was a bit later and we really enjoyed that. Ganders- the hotel restaurant- served us up a wonderful breakfast before we hit the road. The service was fantastic and our server even gave us takeout cups for our coffees.

I would give this a higher rating but after talking to the lady at the front desk I should give them a 0 star. Very poor customer service. I got charged twice and the attitude I received from the lady working at the front desk was disgusting. I don’t recommend anyone to stay here. I’m a Hilton honors reward member and to get disrespected like that on the phone is wrong.

Very dated rooms, clean at least. Super rude wake up call in the morning to remind me I had an airport shuttle at 430 am. She yelled at me that they promptly leave on time and I have three minutes. Which I knew I get right down there like I had already planned and she says he left you. I told you they don’t wait. I said look at the time it’s 429. Very rude and uncalled for.

Older Doubletree that you can tell they are trying to just keep it together, without renovating it. It’s been 4 years since my last visit and zero improvements have been done. It’s clean visually, but you can tell they just patch over things when they break. Bed was lumpy, A/C somehow froze over and required to be thawed out in the morning. The limited 2 calls to the front desk were met with no so friendly sounding staff. Close walk to restaurants.

The room we stayed in didn't look like it had been cleaned in awhile. There were crumbs in the drawers and everything was extremely dusty and even though online it says free breakfast and nothing about needing to sign up for it online, the free breakfast is only available if you sign up prior for it. I don't think it's worth the price. Next time I'll stay somewhere else.
