Spicy Chong Qing - Kent

I would gladly drive from Bremerton to Renton just to dine here. Their approach to spice is impressive – it's as if they're rebelling against traditional British cuisine! The Ma Po Tofu is absolutely incredible, and I can't get enough of the Frog with Green Chilis. Food: 5/5

My friend doesn’t know how to use chopsticks, so I requested some spoons and forks. They had a greasy feel to them, as if they had been stored in an open container collecting dust, leaving a sticky residue. I tried to wipe them with a napkin, but they still felt unpleasant. In the end, I just used my chopsticks. While I was still at the table, my friend went to the restroom, and the staff started clearing our table without even asking if we were finished or if we wanted to take any food with us. The lack of customer service was noticeable. When we paid the bill and didn’t leave a tip on the receipt, the cashier insisted we add one. She even told the guy who was about to throw away our leftover beef broccoli to put it back on the table because she was waiting for my friend and me to decide about the tip. The staff was very rude and the restaurant felt unsanitary. It’s hard to believe they expect tips with such poor service. The cashier might have assumed I didn’t understand Chinese just because I was speaking another language with my friend, but I did understand everything she said. This is a reminder to everyone: don’t assume that people don’t understand your language, as many multilingual individuals exist. I will definitely not return to this unpleasant place.

The food was incredible—my favorites were the Chongqing chicken and the toothpick lamb! The fried rice was also tasty. However, I noticed that the servers stopped checking on our table after a while. It seemed like they preferred us to use an app for ordering and payment, which gave the impression that they wanted to reduce interaction with customers. Despite that, it was a great experience overall!

This is a really great spicy chinese food restaurant, it is inside the ranch 99 market place. The parking lot is always full. but you can always find parking. the dishes are delicious and has a very great portion.

Visited this place for second time last week, last time is 3 years ago before Covid. First time, ordered hot boiled fish, the fish was not fresh, taste like plastic. I left without finishing half, tipped well still. Because I know it's not the fault of the service girl. Tip is supposed to go her pocket, at least partially. Second time is a coincidence. I shopped in the Ranch 99 late and my son was super hungry, this one was the only open. I ordered many dishes. None of them are real Spicy, just being ordinary. The price raised. My child just ate the rice noodle then I packed up the rest, running back home. Due to respect to service, I again tipped 10 bulks. Boom, child got a stomachache that night, then the next day. I threw the others I packed up. This place never been clean.
