Can-am Pizza - Kent

There are definitely new owners here, and they have completely ruined what the previous owner had built over the past 20+ years. It's unfortunate that all good things must come to an end, and that's what has happened here.

This restaurant offers a unique concept with their Indian-Italian fusion pizzas. I was pleasantly surprised by how well the butter chicken topping worked on the pizza. The crust could use more crunch, but overall it was good. Unfortunately, the boneless chicken dish I ordered was terrible (1/5 rating). The restaurant has the potential to become a top tier location for this type of cuisine, but it needs to modernize its offerings.

The pizza was delicious and the service was satisfactory. However, the staff at the counter appeared uninterested. When I requested tissues, the guy seemed upset. Overall, it was not the most enjoyable experience.

I have to say, the pizza here is absolutely amazing—probably the best I've ever had, not just in Kent but anywhere! Unfortunately, the experience surrounding the ordering and delivery process leaves a lot to be desired. In 2024, it's hard to believe we are still dealing with outdated technology and a service experience that feels more like a chore than a pleasure. I've tried giving this place multiple chances, but every time has been disappointing. I’ve called in to place an order three times, and each time it felt like I was bothering the staff. Additionally, my online orders have been late on two occasions; both times, I had to call an hour later only to find out they hadn’t even dispatched anyone yet! The delivery person arrived annoyed because I had already paid and simply asked him to leave the pizza on the doorstep. So, while the product deserves a high rating, the atmosphere and service have consistently left me feeling frustrated. It's disheartening to see some in the service industry taking their job dissatisfaction out on customers. We work hard for our money, and we deserve better treatment. If they could just improve their customer service and technology, this place would be unbeatable! In summary: just put the pizza in the box, it's not that complicated! Please -5/5 for customer service, +2/5 for the product.
