I thought it was a typical Asian dinner. The almond chicken was great! The sweet and sour chicken was also good. The fried rice was good. The staff and friendly and patient with our 2 1/2-year-old son.
Bamboo Garden closed in October! I am very sorry to see them nearby as they are great!!! My mistake, but they actually make a renovation of their restaurant, as they finally wrote signs on the doors! I am not sure, but m would suspect that they will reopen in late December or immediately after the first of the new year!
That's life! Just a worn-out place, but food is delicious. Something more on the American side of food, but you will enjoy all kinds of meals they offer.
The portion sizes were perfect—not so large that I felt compelled to overeat or need a takeout box, but just enough to leave me satisfied. Unlike the usual excessive American servings, this was just right. The service was incredible. An adorable older lady, whom I'll call Mama San, took my order and shouted to the kitchen, “Hey, stop slacking! We have a customer—cook the food now!” The food arrived fresh and hot, and she entertained me with amusing stories about her night shifts at a sewing shop in Seattle, mentioning how working nights had kept her slim while giving her sister a figure she humorously described as “a water cow.” The entire place was spotlessly clean, and the bathroom had a lovely, garden-like scent that was quite refreshing. It was both economical and friendly, with delicious and clean food. This has been the best dining experience I’ve had in the Tri-City area.
