Wayback Burgers - KENNETT SQUARE

The website manager during my last visit here was exceptional and really welcoming. The food was fresh and filled as I ordered. Place was clean. It is temporarily closed as I was hoping to stop for dinner tonight, but hope they will get up and run soon.

I give him 2 stars because the burger and the Pommes are not bad, they are not big, quite standard burgers and pommes, with which I'm okay, but otherwise I wasn't lucky here. I traveled to Kennett Square for work and that's the second time I decided to try Wayback Burger, both times gave me problems. For the first time, my order was finished, so I went and came to the store to find it was not ready. It was completely marked, but didn't even begin to be made until I arrived, so I had to sit there and wait for about 25 minutes. Not only that, I had ordered a hot dog to just say that they don't have, but only when I arrived. There is a grocery store in walking distance and it is not like hot dogs are a special item, but it seems from other reviews that those that are not available are quite common. Burger was fine, nothing great, but nothing bad, just a normal burger, Pommes are good. I was charged for the hot dog and said I would be refunded and that it could take a few days to show up, refund was never received, but until I had done something, I had already left the area to return home. For the second time, my order was a burger, buffalo chicken sandwich, frits to share, and a bottle of water. Also the burger was good, Pommes were good, but the buffalo chicken sandwich was what I got on the picture. I put it in quotes because I'm not even sure it's chicken. I chose the crispy option, but I did not know that I literally get a deep fried leather strap. The sauce also has no buffalo taste, nor buffalo sauce color. It tastes more like a chili-based sauce. There was practically no chicken, only bread, rolls and bathed in sauce. I also opted for the mustard bbq sauce for my frits dipping sauce, but did not decide to use it. When I opened it, the Bbq sauce had dry, hard pieces of the old sauce during the course, as well as a kind of clear/transparent pieces. In addition, they had no bottles of water, so the 5 pieces of my order, only 2 were available or edible. And again, bottle water can be bought quickly/lightly to restock, I got at least a notification for the refund this time for the bottle of water. My comments on food collection are aimed at when the person works the owner. If they 're not, I totally understand, do not increase when you use personal money, as it seems that this place was forgotten by him's actual owner. Both times I went, the staff worked was friendly, but it seems that they "just underoccupied or forgotten by the owners of the place, just like the restaurant. There was only 1 person working on my second time during the peak hours. I know that times for the food industry were hard and cuts due to Kovid were made, workers who demand better wages, inflation, etc., but it seems that this place almost does it intentionally in the hopes to accelerate the inevitable shutdown of either sales loss, quality control / quality loss, or from FDA closure

Warning, asked for ice water and was charged $2.29... after the bill found out that they only sell bottle of water and well drinks and I saved money to get the bottom drink?? Other than the price I would come back, but because of the price I probably won't

We ordered the delivery. Uber Eats delivered our food without comment on delivery service. The food we received was just okay. Pro growers were made on request, bags were crispy, frits and onion rings were acceptable. Con- no diving sauce was given.none at all. Hähnchen BLT Sand, which was not only made wrong, but it was rough. The chicken was over cooked and stringy. There was very little sauce. Lettuce was so confused. Pickles were butter pickles (gross) and no tomatoes or bacon. Even if the chick sandwich and the missing sauce were the only con, the pros are not enough to go back.

Waited about 25 minutes for 3 tenders when it says 4, dry like the Sahara, look horrible, my girlfriends was 2 tenders but one was ripped in half to make it 3, EVEN THOUGH IT SAID 4 on the menu, asked for sauce twice never got it, horrible after an hour drive to longwood gardens.. shoulda waited at Applebees, went there after longwood.. I should get something for this being so bad
