Messina's Late Night Grill - Kenner

This is located in the lobby of the MSY Airport La Quinta, but it is closed! I had been to it previously and it was a convenient place to get some food and some drinks when staying at the hotel, but it was very much closed on 9/17/2023. Not sure if they will reopen, because there were no chairs or tables and it looked like everything that wasn't nailed down was taken out.

There is really some good food here. I miss the shrimp and oyster bordelaise they used to serve when they were across the street but what they have now is almost as great.

Woulnt say flawless but great service. Bartender very fast paced and food was out when I expected it. Would definitely recommend if your staying

Love love LOVE the family recipe Italian dishes. Spaghetti and meatballs and chicken parm are sooooo good!

Was staying in the hotel for an airport departure the next day. The weather was miserable so eating in the hotel restaurant seemed easy. I read the reviews and was expecting a nice meal. Both my husband and I were disappointed in the quality of the food...I ordered chicken parm and it was awful...like a frozen chicken cutlet with some sweet spaghetti sauce thrown on top of it. Should have walked over to the restaurants about 5 minutes from the hotel. Very crowded, not enough servers. Probably good for a beer and get dinner elsewhere.
