Bidrage med feedbackExcellent food, excellent service and everything in a beautiful ambience. We regularly drive from the Saarland there and are thrilled each time. Go on! You're a great team.
At noon we had extra reserved and said we would like to eat spit roast in the evening. After the evening order we were informed that the pig is out. That's why we came. Other court chosen and satisfied with the quality of food. Service unfortunately quite overwhelmed, as only one waitress and 2 helpers were there. Besides, guests were sent away because the restaurant is supposed to be full. Until we left at 21:30, only half of the tables were occupied. Improved...
General My wife, our daughter and I go every Sunday in alternating order to the Chinese (buff fat), Italian (pizza) and a German locality. Once a month our daughter sleeps out and we pick up a special restaurant for an intimate culinary evening. This time it was the Hunsrücker Fass in which we used to be a guest, but since the takeover by the new tenants we had not personally convinced ourselves of the new service and the kitchen. After the very informative page on the Internet we had decided for the 3-course menu and reserved a table. Upon entering the restaurant we were immediately received by a very friendly and dedicated gentle gentle gentleman who led us to the table, yet I would like to note that it is a very rustic and rustically upscale restaurant and you don't have to be afraid when you come without suit. We only briefly took a look at the appropriate and clearly structured menu, as we had already decided on the menu before. The menu fully complied with our expectations and the service was perfect for the previously mentioned gentleman and his helpers did a very good job and gave one the feeling that one is an appreciated guest, which unfortunately has been lost in many restaurants nowadays. We will now keep an eye on the 3-course menu on the Internet more often and we will be happy to be pampered there again. Thanks again for the very attentive service and the delicious dishes. General/Ambience The Hunsrücker Fass has long been on the list of restaurants I wanted to test. The positive review of my critic friend Petra IO made me curious and so I reserved a table in short. Since the end of 2013, the traditional Hotel Restaurant in Kempfeld has been refurbished by a new operator who is very expensive with a lot of taste, expertise and attention to detail. Guests will find a unique feel-good atmosphere in and around the house, which is looking for in the region of its same. On the cozy terrace you can admire Japanese ornamental carp in beautifully landscaped ponds while pulling their tracks. Inside, it is elegant and rustic, whether in the restaurant with open fireplace, the rural Tyrolean bar or the old farmhouse. Service We were operated by two very nice young waiters, there was nothing to complain about The service was from welcome to adoption: simple friendly, unobtrusively attentive and flee. Always with a smile and asking if everything is right. Competent we received information about the dishes and the various open wines of the house. Food The well-sorted menu offers upscale farmhouse cuisine for every taste. Wild, meat, fish, seasonal dishes, vegetarian and, of course, regional specialities such as the original Idar Obersteiner Spießbraten from beech fire. There is also a 3 gear menu of €24.50 and 2 recommendations from the head of the house. Our choice beef with herbal flakes to 4,80 € Original Idar Obersteiner Spießbraten mit Bauernbrot vom deutschen Rinder Entrecote zu 18,50 € and a small mixed salad to 3,50 € Tranche vom Lachs mit Spargel Kaiserschotengemüse, Bärlauchtagliarini und Sauce Hollandaise zu 17,50 € As a greeting from the kitchen there was a delicious homemade white cream Rating: There was nothing to put out on the cow's strength broth, the best soup for a long time. Very spicy and taste-intensive with hearty herbal bottles an ideal entree. The colonel's skewer from the intermediate rib piece of the beef was unmatched. The meat with the typical fat-eye, absolutely streak-free and finely marbled, pleasantly spicy well marinated over hours, was handcrafted perfectly grilled, buttery in bite, hearty and aromatic in taste. Praise to the kitchen for the selection and marinating of approx. 350gr heavy and 4 cm thick entrecote steaks. But the waitress, who was responsible for grilling alongside the service at the table, also deserves a very thick praise. She was the real barbecue master and understood to bring the meat perfectly medium to the plate. The supplements to steak disappointed in quantity and taste. Although fresh and crunchy in the composition, I found the sauces faded and a little courageous. Leaf and raw food salads without any pep. The radish salad to the spit roast was better tasted, but the portion would have fit into an espresso cup. I was so tired of the lush meat portion that I could only taste from the salmon, perfectly roasted on the spot, a great piece of fish and absolutely free of bones. The ingredients were also excellent. My wife gives full score. dessert: a mixed ice cream with cream at 3,80 € and a coffee at 2,10 € companion for food: mineral water 0.75l to 5,50 €, Kirner Pils at 2,20 €, 0.1l champagne Pinot blanc brut at 4,80€ and a Grauburgunder 0,2l to 4,50 € All in all a successful visit. For the kitchen I give 5 stars despite weakness in the salad dressing. Conclusion: upscale farmhouse kitchen in pleasant ambience. 100% recommended.
General We were in this place for the first time. Outdoors you sit very cozy and quiet around an artificial pond with huge coikarpfen. Everything very beautifully designed. In the restaurant a grill fire is burned, on which Hunsrücker spies are prepared on request. The map offers regional food, wild and fish. If you want Schnitzel, you get that in a big portion. We were kindly served and fast. We didn't wait long enough for drinks and food. For every walk, the employee inquired how it tastes. The food My wife ordered a menu at a very low price. She was very satisfied with the preliminary soup (spargel cream) and the main course (fried trout fillets with potato pie). The cream brulee was okay. I ordered the following appetizers: thin slices of fried rehkeule on fresh salad. Was tastefully good, though roasted. Salad crunchy fresh with a fruity vinegar. As main course: calf liver with potato pie and apple slices. I expressly ordered the calf livers. She came through the table, though not dry. Shame! It was a hot day after a full weekend. Let's get an eye! The operation has a reasonable excuse for the error. Otherwise, the court was tasty. All meals were appealing. The ambience Rural design inside and outside still a modern touch! The house shines from the outside through its magnificent floral decoration and the extensive terrain behind it. The outdoor area is equipped with many seating, so that many guests can find space outdoors in summer. Cleanliness No complaints
