Kwans Chinese - Kelso

Delicious food, ordered and collected in 20 minutes, cake hot and delicious, nice friendly girls at the recipe. we were in kelso for our vacation and loved eating kwan’s.

Awesome service, better food. The crispy chicken dumplings are amazing.

When I arrived, the place was quite busy, with a somewhat orderly line of people outside, except for one person loitering at the door. I went in to collect my food, but it wasn’t ready yet. They took my payment and sent me back out into the cold, dark night. I waited another 20 minutes before they finally called me to pick up my order at the still-crowded door. Some customers had their cars running, listening to Radio 3 live from the Met, as they shared a narrow space that was starting to fill up with people trying to get past. The weather was deteriorating, making the wait feel even longer. Despite that, the food was delicious. I enjoyed the cut and texture, everything was just right—no complaints there. However, next time, they need better planning, or the server should offer a more realistic pickup time. Perhaps they only start cooking after taking payment and when customers arrive, but I doubt they would ever openly say that—it’s just my guess.

Always fantastic! The food is delicious, and the service is great. The staff is friendly, too!

This is the best Chinese takeout in the city! The reception staff is incredibly polite and friendly.
