Bidrage med feedbackWe were recommended to visit by a friend, which was backed up by Those Vegan Guys. It is a traditional taverna serving the usual Greek dishes, some of which are vegan anyway and others staff were happy to veganise. The staff all understood what a vegan is and were very accommodating. It was quite early so we had a selection of starters served tapas style. The fried courgettes may sound plain but they were gorgeous! And the thyme and garlic mushrooms in white wine are a must. We found Kefalonia as a whole was very vegetarian friendly, but many places were unclear as to what a vegan is, so it was lovely to find somewhere that understood and were so friendly and accommodating. The food was lovely and we'd go back if we were to visit the island again.
It is not where it should be. needs to be updated if they are looking for kefalos on google, it is quite somewhere else I am not even sure if it is the same restaurant.

The location is not accurate. If you search for Kefalos on Google, it directs you to a different place. I'm not even sure if it's the same restaurant. It needs to be updated.
We were recommended to visit this traditional tavern by a friend who was supported by The Vegan Guys. The restaurant serves typical Greek dishes, some of which are vegan or can be veganized. The staff were knowledgeable and accommodating when it came to vegan options. We arrived early and tried a variety of tapas-style starters. The fried Courgettes were surprisingly delicious, and the thyme and garlic mushrooms cooked in white wine were a standout dish. We found that Kefalonia was quite vegetarian-friendly overall, but many places were unsure about vegan options. It was refreshing to find a restaurant that understood and catered to vegans so well. The food was enjoyable, and we would definitely return if we were to visit the island again.
