Gigi's On The River - Keeseville

My husband and I had a wonderful time here last weekend. Charming restaurant, hometown country feel with a large dining room, a full bar, a huge lighted outdoor patio on the river, and even a little bakery. Prices were reasonable and the homemade dishes were great. Interesting variety of dishes from American to Italian and more. Smaller towns don't always cater to vegetarian diets but Gigi's had a lot of options. I went with vegetarian lasagna which to my (pleasant) surprise was a vegetable lasagna baked in some kind of bechamel cream sauce. It was served in a warm dish, very flavorful, hearty, and filling. My husband got French onion soup (in a beef broth) and chicken cordon bleu, both of which he said were so satisfying, and I stole most of his fries, which were thick cut and just right amount of crispy. Topped off with fresh baked apple pie a la mode, we nearly rolled ourselves out the door in a delicious food coma. Also our server was attentive, fast, and very sweet. Highly recommend this restaurant if you live nearby or are traveling in area as we were. Very close to Ausable Chasm and a nice place to stop for lunch, dinner, or baked goods on the way to Canada too.

GiGi's is a good spot in town and area that offers very few options. Had dinner here on a recent Friday evening. Large layout with bar and dinning room seating, plus an outdoor patio. Patio was closed though as there doesn't seem to be a fire pit or heaters and it was a little cool. The service is friendly and fairly prompt. Beer and wine is limited to standard options, nothing great or local. The food is well made comfort style, nothing too healthy offered. GiGi's is a worth a visit if in the area.

If you're passing by, give this place a chance! I can see why some reviewers marked low prices of the food were on the higher side for standard items. However! The staff had very friendly ladies and the aesthetic here is so cute and comfortable, I truly felt like I was visiting a friend and a guest in someone's home. While waiting for food, I got to walk around to the patio and the backyard to take these great shots! (The patio seats were taken shortly after I took the picture by a large family, also enjoying this establishment). The chicken quesadilla I had was filling! The favorite amongst us was the meat loaf surprisingly a little sweet? Very tasty! This really does seem like a great place to relax and pop open some drinks to share though. It's out of the way for me, but my group had a really nice time here. Thanks!

Great family run business! The staff are friendly and attentive. Food ranges from pizza to prime rib. Glad you are part of the neighborhood!

Went to dinner tonite… it was delicious! Great atmosphere! Very Friendly! Love that we can bet on the races and do quick draw too!!! Definitely will be a frequent flier ??????
