Brothers Mini Mart - Kearny

OK pastries, bad customer service. I went on Saturday January 16 around 12:30, asked to buy a French baguette and asked for them to please slice it (they have done before). Gal at the counter said “no, we don’t slice baguettes”. I told her, but it has been done before, they just cut it in half and put it in slicer. Other gal jumped in and said “no, we don’t fo it”. I left without the baguette, drove to Lyndhurst bakery, asked for same thing attendant said “ not a problem”. Bread is the same, customer service, Brothers Bakery lacks, and by a lot. Guess who lost a client? Guess where I’m getting my bread and pastries from now on?

Special ordered a birthday cake from Brothers Bakery in Kearny NJ but again it was stale. Second time a special ordered cake was stale. Never again.

I would recommend this place to people that like sweets but, honestly it's not sweet enough for me...

I stopped at brothers to get a few hard rolls and some doughnuts. I get home to find out that the rolls I paid for are not in my bag. I get passed that figuring oh well, what am I gonna do as I live a good distance away to go back. So then i go to eat a doughnut. This doughnut must have been two days old. Do they make there doughnuts everyday? All the doughnuts I purchased were so dry. This place use to have the best creme doughnuts and rolls around. Dont know what happened but that may be the last time I stop there.

An extensive assortment of pastries, cakes, fresh baked and sliced breads. Also serve Gelato. They do custom order cakes for all occasions. Their cakes are super moist and full of flavor.
