Thunderhead Brewing - Kearney

Great little spot! we tried 3 different flights of beer and enjoyed most of them. our favorites were the honey-wheat, peach wheat and lavender colsch. the thunderhead pizza was tasty-we wish we had ordered the bigger size! we also got the nachos, but in any case a second pizza would try instead of getting the nachos back.

Yummy pizzas and nachos with generous proportions. my wife and I each have a flight of their seasonal/limited craft beer. tastes of beer were amazing and fun to pick up about each beer as we drank them. also very child-friendly, as we have our 10 year old daughter together. they also have daily specials so we can mix with 2 six packs that they can mix and combine if they want and get the daily special of $1 from each six pack. attentive and friendly service. highly recommended if you want to taste different local craftsmanship beer!

Genuinely great bar eat. the pizzas are the right hangers. with thin wood fired crusts it is easy enough to share a large between two.

Very welcoming taphouse. Do you know how some places you are stupid because you think ipas taste like pine sol? thunderhead is not this place. the bartender was very accommodating for my buddy who knows no yeast of a porter and still answered all my questions. we did not try out the pizza because we had other plans, but the pizza looked great and if we were to be in kearney another day, we would have planned on their pizza.

Love this place! Bobbie was so friendly! Huge selection. Clean place. Add this to your short list you won?t be disappointed. Rootbeer and pretzels are great for kids!
