Diavolo Paresa - Kathu

Since 2023, they have been offering separate vegan menus. They have a good selection for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with a mix of Thai and Western options. While the food may not be the best, it is still decent and reasonably priced for a resort. Additionally, they offer vegan cooking classes which come highly recommended.

It appears that there have been changes since the last review. The vegan breakfast menu has been combined with gluten-free options, making it unclear which items are vegan vs gluten-free (some items contain cheese and eggs). Many items previously featured on the vegan breakfast menu, such as banana pancakes and a vegan vegetable breakfast sandwich, are no longer available. However, there is now a full vegan dinner menu offering mainly pasta and Thai dishes with tofu and vegetables (though these items are not on the room service menu). Overall, there were some disappointing aspects, but the resort is beautiful and offers enough vegan options to still make it a great choice for vegans. Review updated as of October 5, 2019.

The staff and Chef Jordi were outstanding. We were highly impressed. Chef Jordi personally greeted us upon arrival and crafted a vegan menu for us with a wide variety of options, including a delicious breakfast. It's unclear if you can dine at the restaurant without staying at the resort, but if you can, you will leave with a big smile on your face.

The staff and Chef Jordi were outstanding. We didn't want more. The chef met us on arrival and put our food scares to waste. He had made a fully vegan menu for us with extensive options including breakfast (best meal of the day I could add). Not sure if you can visit the restaurant without staying at the resort but if you do walk away smiling ear to ear.
