Dechenling Garden - Kathmandu

Where to start... We had the Chicken Chili, Chicken Mushroom Curry, Chicken-Shabhalay (deep fried flat dumplings) and ting Momo (tibetan puffed bread). Everyone was wonderful. Chili reminded us of Kung Pao chicken without peanuts sauce was delicious. Curry is not what we expect very mildly at all curry and the chicken was tender. The dumplings were great, shiny and crisp with good filling. After all, the side sows were great, spicy with the hot sauces. All in all, a wonderful restaurant. Will come back to try the set menu courses.

Despite the location in a lively area, it is good and the environment is pleasant. The restaurant has a great atmosphere. I have to say good service. The only problem is that they don't have their own parking. However, you can park in the Chhaya Center.

Tucked away in a small alley, this restaurant comes with a garden and has outdoor seating options, which is perfect to enjoy a meal with the cool nights of Kathmandu. They serve good hearty Tibetan food, but you can also order Bhutanese and Nepalese set meals, and they have vegetarian options. Good service, prices are reasonable and inclusive of taxes. Has a bar serving cocktails and many whiskey options.
