Even though it was a Tuesday night, the place was full and we were glad we had reserved a table. Rustic, Bavarian style pub with the kind of food you would expect here: Schnitzel, Maultaschen, steaks, wurstsalat but also specials on the board including lamb chops, vegetarian curry and tafelspitz (braised beef with horseradish sauce). The salads were colourful, a variety of fresh ingredients and a good dressing. The steak was excellent as were the schnitzel and the cordon bleu (schnitzel stuffed with ham and cheese). The only drawback were the spätzle German soft egg noodles that were obviously out of a packet. Not what you expect in this kind of restaurant.
I visited this neighborhood restaurant with a colleague from my local office. The service was very good, as well as the food. I visited during ASpargel (asparagus) season and had a delicious apsaparagus dish with ham and melted cheese on top. The waitress was very friendly and nice. The food was very good too. This restaurant is off the beaten path, in a neighborhood setting, across from a small park. We sat outside, despite possible rain showers coming. They didn't come, so we had a good time. Food is traditional Badisch. I will probably some again, if I'm nearby.
Traditional German food and atmosphere, beers and wine. Food was OK but nothing special. Variety of beers and wines. Tasty salads, good steak, but spaetzle was a disappointment. Friendly but slow staff.
