Bidrage med feedbackSliced to order prosciutto di San Daniele, prosciutto di Parma, mozzarella di bufala, burrata, bresaola, cambozola, pate` mousse with truffle, Cambozola, savoiardi lady fingers, unusual and imported cheese and salumi... These are just a few of my favorite things!! After 11 years in Italy, when I returned to my native Hawai 'i it was a little bit of a bummer to not be able to live and share certain foods that became daily plate clamps for me. I would boast about this cured meat and THAT parmiggiano and creamy Burrata mozzarella... But they were just memories of the past. Hawai 'i is my home and I would never return to Europe, but only part of the palate lacked it... Until we stumbled on R. Field Wine. Tears... ugly, Slobberian tears that ruin your makeup. I cried her. But for pleasure. Pure joy. Do you want Italian parentheses? They'll find her here. There are several locations, all found in or next to foodland, but the ones I often most are Kailua, Ala Moana and Kapolei. All the biggest cured meats I could find in Italy, I now find R. Field Wine. Not even a joke. My favorite prosciutto is San Daniele (they tend to name butchers, but they have it, so I will take it and my favorite type of mozzarella is Burrata (a little expensive, but worth every penny. You give samples when you are insecure about the meat. Prosciutto San Daniele (the smaller the round, the sweeter I like my salty, so I always ask to see the cut first... at the hardening they hang the meat from the smaller end, so all salt and spice runs up to a greater part of Prosciutto di Parma (the real deal, not the prepacked rusty cardboard as above, the smaller the round, the sweeter the salt! You're called uccelletti or small birds Bresaola (bray ZA OH LA this is the slimst cured meat you find. In Italy it is common to find these smokey delicacies in horsemeat, but the imported is usually beef. Serve with lemon and olive oil for the meal of the model. They eat it when they die. If you want to make it more exciting, eat it with mozzarella to cut the salt. Burrata the cream of this mozzarella is incomparable... does not cut well, but on pizza or raw with prosciutto or tomatoes is divine. Pate they have black truffle duck godfather and geese godfather they are amazing just hanging when you like truffle or not! Try her! Cambozola is like a creamy gogonzola that is less sharp, but melts beautifully on warm crust bread! Note: Not for non-blue cheese lovers. Just the courage! Savoiardi, what I use to make tiramisu. Don't forget the mascara in the fridge! R. Field also hosts many wines and liqueurs (as the name suggests and quality local products such as my favorite cheaai cocoa for tiramisu, chocolate, coffee and honey. I hope that was helpful! You can't go wrong with her Salumi! I promise!
Inside Foodland we found everything we needed for dinner for our mixed drinks and wines. Good selection for us tourists to get the interesting mixed drink ingredients.
The service of the R Field Wine Company in Foodland-Kapolei is exceptional! Although everyone does a good job, Pua, Michelle and Travis go above and beyond to greet every customer, focus on the needs of customers and feel special to customers! Pua, Michelle and Travis make the entire R Field Wine Company and Foodland company brilliant and everyone should keep and share the title of employees of the year!
I love the R Field on Beretania, and so much more! The staff is really friendly and one of the ladies even offered me samples of some of their cured meat to help me decide which to take home. It was very knowledgeable about the differences in products. Your selection seems to be the same as the Betetania shop, but it also has several prefabricated salads in its display case. Very glad to have their selection of special items on this side of the island!
This place is so awesome.. I spent 4 days looking for cojita cheese I didn't want to drive in to town to go get it.. but this is located in Kapolei foodland.. specialty cheeses and meats I love it!!!
