Bidrage med feedbackThat was the best Vaca stay we had! and we were in some beautiful places. we were here last week. 2022. the hotel room we had was for our party of 4. king bed was comfortable and the extendable queen sofa for the children (7 10) was foam and very comfortable for them. the bathroom was a good size, it would be better with more room but the drawers helped a lot. the small refrigerator mini sink were also nice to have. we just slept in the room, because now, it is paradisiate and we spent the biggest part of the day outside enjoying the perfect weather. the activities were great! if they are an active family, they will love it here. we did many of the activities, including: family fitness, children's competitions, Hawaiian net throw, Ukele lessons, Scavenger hunting and water slide race, just to name a few. I'm sad that I don't do any of the adult stretch, yoga or boot camp like classes. but I had to get our beach cabana at 9 o'clock and that was top priority! the beach cabanas were heavenly and absolutely worth it! they are $70/day, need to reserve over text 24 hours before. we have the most days we stayed in the resort and it was worth every cent! a $20 longboards voucher was given to every cabana rental and they can order food/drinks from their cabana. the ladies worked there, worked hard, so we tapped extra well. as we were there on the day of the day, they had additional activities. the children had water balloon, hula hoop, sack race, musical hoolas, and everything was so much fun! I would highly recommend staying on a holiday and if they won, they would get a fast ice coupon and the shaved ice is delish! longboards was our way to eat. it was fast and affordable. the other sit-down restaurant also looked really good, but we were always on the run or overthrow from our day of fun. the delicate family basket and huge salad for lunch was perfect for us. the children also liked the children. the chicken catsu curry was the best dinner we had there. everything else was decent. everyone who works there was friendly and made them feel, they are really in paradise! extraordinary we met with duke (Kala’i) on the first day there at the beach hut. he is so friendly and helpful with everyone and ask! staff of the year! hands down. we will return to see him again. our children love him and missed him as soon as we left! the other exemplary employee we met was juanito. he is part of the scenic team. we waited for our journey up and we asked him where the dumpster was. we had a nice chat! it felt like he was a long, lost uncle. he gave us advice on where we go and what to do and really made us feel like a family. then he sent us to our journey with snacks! so sweet! negatiw: the bell-hop-desk front could use some improvements. our taxi has left us with all our cases. No one came to help, so I thought we had to look first. we then continued to drag all our bags (it was a lot, we were on a 3 wk vaca) past the belly table with a few boring looking people standing right now and not yet offering to help check on further inside. just to say at check-in, we should leave our bags at the belly table until our room was finished. So we got everything up the back, which was a bit of a kick from the check in the writings. the dame at the bell hop that took our dinge was either a bad day or must work on their human skills. the guy who delivered our bags to our room, and the guy who picked them up at the end of our stay was excellent! and we have therefore tipped very grateful for their service. the waitress at longboards must have our first lunch in the restaurant even a free day. not the friendly aloha who radiates from most others. but I am happy to say, except these 2 incidents, everything else was amazing! and even more perfect with the help of duke juanito! tips: they demand their cabana by text on the day before. they start at 9 o'clock, so I just wrote about this time and had no problem
We had a 2BR oceanfront penthouse room. The view was spectacular. My kids loved the pools and beach. The pools are very kid friendly. The calm bays are perfect for kids. I really enjoyed renting the cabanas on the beach to get shade. You need to reserve them the day before and get down before 9:30 to select your cabana. Past 9:30, they will give it away. A negative is people go down and put towels on the chairs by the pool. Even though they have employees monitoring it, they do not seem to properly police it. The 2BR is large and has a full kitchen and washer/dryer. The balcony is a good size. This was a lock off unit, which means there is a one bedroom side and a studio side. The studio side has its own balcony too and a kitchenette. My kids slept on that side. My older daughter slept on the king side bed and my younger daughter slept on the sofa bed. I am rating this experience as 5 circles/excellent because of the great oceanfront view and how kid friendly the resort is.
May 2022 was our 2nd stay at this property and we could not be more pleased with the entire stay. Our 2 room suite was immaculately clean and has been well maintained over the years. This resort is very close to many of the places we shop when there which serves us well when we decide to take our evening meal in the comfort of the room. We spent more time at the resort this year and discovered that the on-site restaurants are really very good... Longhi's for upscale Italian fare, and Longboard's for the typical pool drinks and food. We are already prepared for our next visit there in 2023.
We had a wonderful stay at Marriott’s Ko Olina Beach Club from May 4-9. The resort was clean and well-maintained. The grounds were beautiful! I particularly enjoyed the beautiful hibiscus plants! Loved walking each morning along the lagoon walkway. Gorgeous sunrises sunsets! Our villa was immaculate, well-stocked, and comfortable. We made our own breakfast and lunch each day. Loved sitting on the balcony for breakfast and lunch. We ate dinner at Longboards Longhi’s….great food reasonably priced for Hawaii. Enjoyed the live music at Longboards. We spent most of our days at the pools and beach. Snorkeled in the lagoon and saw lots of fish! This is a fantastic timeshare property. We usually go with family but had a relaxing couple’s vacation during this visit. Special thanks to the following employees for making us feel welcome and valued: Mai front desk, Shayla — Longboards, Elisha — housekeeping, Sage — Longhi’s, Taloa pool slide attendant (activities), Kalama — engineering, Reiko Sommer— Front desk, Jacob Vogelgesang director of room operations, Sammi Longhi’s, Ansu, Roxanne Starr at Longboards, Rylann — Nai’a pool bar server, Sammi John at Longhi’s.
A return visit after almost 2 1/2 years of hiding from the COVID virus. Still feeling really good about this property after a one week stay. Check in (for rental guest/NOT Timeshare owner) is quick and efficient. Once again, sent to a lower floor 1 Bedroom Villa because of non owner status, but to be honest, very little time was spent in the room during the day. Decor and kitchen tools and equipment were as remembered and in my opinion well kept and well stocked. Having the full kitchen means you don't have to spend the $45+ for breakfast, $65+ for lunch and $150 for dinner that's required unless you're into a Kapolei fast food diet, unless you hate to cook. I'm very fond of the ground floor gas barbeques and picking up fresh local fish, local beef or mainland chicken makes for easy main courses. Kapolei grocery stores are just 10 minutes away. So is Costco, but I'm not a member. If you live a more crunchy life, Down to Earth has all the organic, meatless things you're probably interested in and also close by. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. The pools are well maintained as are the grounds. The biggest change is learning to accept the lack of daily housekeeping. This is not the only hospitality property that has decided or been forced to suspend housekeeping visits, so it's not a surprise. But if spending the required rate offends you if you have to make your own bed, then it's probably not the place for you in the present era. The property was very good about exchanging bath linens and replenishing things like dish detergent and toilet paper and there is a carpet sweeper in the closet to pick up the obvious crusties that make their way in to the room. Forty dollars a day for parking may seem outrageous, but it's what the upper scale Hawaiian properties charge and the rate remains unchaged from 2019 (they'll probably raise it now after this review). There remains very low key solicitation for the timeshare pitch. There are some very attractive perks if you sign up for the presentation, but I just can't bring myself to waste a salesperson's time if I know at the outset I'm not interested. And once you say not interested', they move on. The property was almost at capacity, yet it never felt crowded. Another winning stay and I'd go back in a heartbeat.
