Restaurant Mühlental

Ended up in Schaffhausen after a flight with a massive delay (nearly 4 hours) due to severe storms in the south east of the UK and not being able to reach our scheduled overnight hotel in Germany. This restaurant was a lucky and very welcome find especially at 9:30pm. The food was excellent. We both opted for a dish off the specials menu of veal with asparagus which was excellent with a bottle of the house red. Service was excellent. We will certainly return if in the area again.

If you want great Italian food with minimal wait and nice ambiance, this is the place to go. One could say that I just came here because I was too lazy to walk into town for lunch (office is only a minute's walk from here . All I can say is thank God I am a lazy person!!! The pizzas are top rate and my favorite pasta is actually served during lunch a luscious pumpkin filled ravioli with paprika cream sauce. Delish!!!! And the service the place was nearly full (tha should say a lot about the place . I was served very efficiently within one minuteof ordering, I received my salad with balsamic vinaigrette. Within two minutes of finishing my salad, my delicious pasta. Got my bill within thirty minutes of being in the restaurant. Thank God I am lazy... :

Met with a large group for a meal at Muhlental Restorante Pizzeria Bar. First impressions from the outside didn't excite, as it looked kind of run down, but the inside was completely unexpected and wonderful. This was followed up with a friendly server who provided us an English menu that included a much wider listing than the restaurants name seemed to suggest. Our large group tried multiple dishes from veal to fish to pasta dishes (not one pizza in site) and all dishes were raved about. Healthy sized portions was an added bonus. Also the location was convenient, close by the train station and Arcona hotel. This restaurant is proof you can't judge a book from it's cover or a restaurant from it's exterior (or it's name.) A pleasant surprise for all.

Pizza ok the rest rather nicer cut. service gives itself a lot. total naja......why good yet you should focus on the core business and that is pizza.

Location conveniently located (3 min from the farm, parking in front of the house, good map (something for every taste,) good food, good price, friendly service.
