The Monarch - Kansas City

One of my favorite bars in Kansas City—where do I even start? It’s tucked away in a corner, but once you step inside, you feel like you’ve discovered a hidden gem. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a modern Chicago or New York bar, complete with contemporary art and stylish decor. I particularly loved the whiskey hallway and even the design of the restrooms. It's clear that the creators of this place prioritized aesthetics and interior design. While this bar isn’t cheap, don’t expect that, the drinks are exceptional. To my surprise, the food is also quite good. The vibe is fun, with a business lounge feel during the day that transforms into a club lounge at night.

This contemporary bar is truly remarkable! I absolutely adore the butterfly motifs reflected in the decorations, menu, and exterior of the venue. The selection of craft cocktails and small plates is fantastic, showcasing a wonderfully creative menu. Each drink has a unique name, adding to the charm. They also offer an excellent variety of beers and wines. With hours extending until midnight on weekdays, it makes for a perfect spot to relax and unwind during the week.

My all time favorite happy hour or after dinner place for fancy cocktail in a modern setting. Love atmosphere both indoor and outdoor!

AMAZING! We've been living in Kansas City for five years and somehow just found out about The Monarch Bar. We were fortunate to secure a reservation in The Parlour and had a fantastic evening! Scott was our bartender, and he was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also a wonderful host. The cocktails were delightful, and the ambiance was exceptional! If you have the chance, definitely visit this place! The experience is worth every cent!

This weekend was my second experience at this lovely upscale and luxurious bar! Will be returning! My server Sarah was bomb and on point! Customer service was very appreciated and everyone accommodated me and my party to the best of their ability!
