Bergrestaurant Sunnbuel - Kandersteg

This is at the top of a cable car station where normally you don't expect very good food. This place is the exception. I had the best Rösti mit Speck und Ei that have ever had in my many trips to Switzerland. You must stop here for lunch!

Stopped off on our hike across the Gemmipass, awaiting the gondola to Kandersteg. The terrace across the mountains is fabulous, the vistas breath-taking. But oh, so let down by the grumpy waitress. The food was fine.

Das Restaurant befindet sich unmittelbar bei der Bergstation im selben Gebäude. Im Gegensatz zu vielen Bergrestaurants wird mann hier erfreulicherweise am Tisch bedient und muss sich nicht in eine allenfalls vorhandene Schlange am Buffet stellen.
