Kagaya Kanazawa

Came for lunch before my train ride. Predated the tempura set with the jibuni (kanazawa specialty broth with duck meat, gluten cakes and topped with wasabi). everything was delightful and elegantly made. the broth was rich and the duck meat was so tender. the rice flake was amazing. the tempura was so light and enjoyable. the sashimi was nice set of variety. the raw shrimp was so fresh and sweet new experience. there was pickled vegetables, super light egg custard (not too sweet), refillable rice and miso soup. the space is very calming and quiet even though it is the hustling Kanazawa train station. was a lovely experience to try different types of techniques and food while still being very affordable.

3.5 stars if any. Was hoping for a better quality meal. But the young and senior servers were both very helpful and attentive.

I used it for my birthday, and she asked me a surprise cake, but I was so happy that I could accept it. All of the above dishes were exquisite. I would like to use it when visiting Ishikawa. Star 5 is not enough! Thank you very much!

Visited in December 2018. Ordered their best set that showcases the produce and cuisine of Kanazawa. A good variety was served. Very satisfying meal. Had good service throughout. Due to dinner reservation and order made a few days before, got in easily and did not need to wait long for the food to be served.

Nice comfortable environment suitable for a big family. Staff are attentive and polite. Grilled fish is juicy and soft. Two thumbs up
