After residing in Kanata for a decade, we finally decided to check out Maple Court Lounge for the first time.

The food here is delicious! Don't let the old-fashioned decor bother you, the friendly staff and amazing food more than make up for it. The best Chinese food in western Ottawa.

I was hosting 40 people for a party last Saturday and had overnight guests Friday and Saturday so I decided to treat myself to a meal prepared by someone else for a change.What I enjoy about this restaurant is the quality of the food, that it is fresh, flavorful and prepared perfectly. I also think that the service is outstanding, it has every time I have been here.It seemed they had fewer items at the buffet than the last time I was here but still plenty to eat and they always kept the platters full. The main drawback is the very tired decor and age of furniture including the disco ball and speakers that hang from the main ceiling, and not to forget a 19502 style bar where they don't have a liquor license.While the decor doesn't bother me from returning as the food and service is so good, I wouldn't bring a guest with me for their first time here as the age and condition of the dining area could distract their attention from the food.
