A&W Restaurant - Kamloops

I stopped by a restaurant and ordered a Buddy burger with fries and a hash brown. The meal was decent overall, but the hash brown was a major disappointment. It was lukewarm and covered in grease, requiring extra napkins. The most unpleasant part was the bad taste left in my mouth from the very old oil used to cook it.

About a week ago I took my son in for pancakes bacon and Eggers and three hash browns. Once we got home I found that there was no pancakes there is one bacon and Egger and one sausage and egger and only one hash...brown. I called and spoke to a girl on the phone who apologized and said that I can call back when I felt like coming in and I can have those items replaced that were missing. This morning I called to get our missing items and the supervisor lady who's working this day told me that she would have to call her managers and then get back to me. She then decided to take her time and then called me back about minutes later and told me that I would have to wait till till a manager comes on duty in order to do anything. How am I supposed to get pancakes at in the afternoon? I got so tired of the running around that I went in to the restaurant to get my food back that I paid for it. But instead of an apology for the screw-up I got questioned about the date and time.... The exact time... That we were there. She then also questioned about my area code on my phone number when I called in earlier. We're from Alberta and I'm health care aide. I work with hospice patients here in BC.... I can tell you the exact date and time that I've lost a patient... But I can't tell you the exact time that I was in there in the morning to get my breakfast. When I asked her about getting my food back she rolled her eyes and gave me attitude. I end up having to fight for my food that I paid for. She been through our food down on the counter and told us to leave. I even asked the young girl who was working drive-through if my son could have a small orange juice to keep him occupied tell our food is ready. She told me no and at that point I had enough. She brought her food out and threw it on the counter and told us to go. But it's how we got home and I opened up the bags there was nothing but greasy hash browns half a strip of bacon on the bacon and Egger and the pancakes recovered in what looks like charcoal are burnt food. I should not have to fight for food that I paid for it and then be treated so horribly.

Fueled up and grabbed some coffee from this location. The new coffee brand they use is much better I find. Came out quick and hot.

The food was great but more importantly the staff were incredible. To the owner of this establishment, the staff that you had on shift at a.m. July are exceptional! The staff were friendly, accommodating, and they smile! Our food was quick and...fresh. I highly recommend this A&W.

I stopped here all the time I could get gas and I can go to the A&W and get my beyond meat Burger service is excellent the food's great and restaurants big and has Wi-Fi
