Bidrage med feedbackThe Rule ‘eat where the locals eat’ does not apply to Grilliaki. The place was packed with Greeks devouring hunks of meat, which we leant were called ‘pork sticks’ (their translation). I was ravenous so ordered the pork grill (as all other meats were off the menu). Even considering I was so hungry I could barely tolerate the chewy, tasteless grey matter which we received. It was full of gristle. It was disgusting. The chips had a weird taste. I don’t know what oil they use?.. the food was horrible. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not being snobbish, I love street food and a good Gyro can be amazing. Considering some of the amazing food I’ve had in Crete I just keep asking myself of the locals, Why Grilliaki? Why?

Great restaurant, staff at the top. Huge Caesar salad very well served very good gyros. Honestly great
We are pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious, we ordered Mix Gyros for €11. One person can't eat it. Nice and smiling staff. A place worth recommending. We will use it again Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €10–15
What irked me about this place is, you can’t pay by card. She told me there was a problem with the machine and it would take 10 days to fix. Hmm reading reviews on here from a month ago, card payment also wasn’t accepted. They’re obviously trying to avoid MasterCard/Visa charges. By law they have to accept these cards. I use (Transfer)Wise as it’s the cheapest way to spend abroad, eliminating rip-off ATM and poor exchange rates which you’re exposed to every time you withdraw cash. I withdrew €600 and with all fees charges it cost me €9.51!
