Mochinut Eagle Rock

I urgently needed a matcha Mochinut for my friend yesterday. Delightful environment and ambiance, wide variety of donuts, fresh baked. I loved the churro, ube, strawberry! No wrong choice here. Plenty of parking, absolutely come here!!! Lovely workers, greeted with a smile as soon as we walked in the door

My son was interested in trying this place. We drove a bit of a distance and we even got lost once or twice. I understand they were closing up and the young employees were tired after a long day. But yet they were so kind and friendly to my son. I really appreciate their kindness at a time when most places are so by the rules and have lost some humanity. The employees are trained well and come from a family that understands how to treat people with kindness and respect. My son and I enjoyed the donuts and he loved the hot dogs.

Donut prices are insane. $4 for a tiny donut. The boba tea prices are also bad. The milk tea was mid. $6 for a small canned drink not made fresh. I love mochi donuts since having them in Tokyo. There they are like $2 each there which is an appropriate price. It’s not hard or expensive to make them. This business model is doomed to fail. They should lower the price and focus on selling volume instead of this. Offer six packs and dozens. Also way too many people working in the back. 2-3 people should be able to run this operation.

I was very excited to try this place and was not disappointed! I’ve been coming to this plaza for years now and I’m glad it’s here. I had the potato dog with half cheese half sausage and I bought some mochinuts. They had a delicate chewy texture which was a nice surprise. I’m definitely going to try more flavors and more of the dog options.
