Cafe Integral At Freehand Los Angeles

Great way to begin the day. A Nicaraguan Espresso blend gives the latte a smooth balanced flavour!

Yesterday the staff of Integral coffee were very friendly, but this morning the two ladies serving coffee made me feel so awful. They laughed at me and called my hair disgusting as I walked up to the counter. As I ordered, one of them quickly left. When we sat down on the sofa, my husband then noticed the other one turning around to take a selfie facing *outward* into the lobby, right where we were sitting. I was a guest of Freehand Hotel for two nights and really enjoyed the lobby before this moment.

I just waited over half an hour for a bagel and then had to be refunded because they hadn 't even started making it yet (when i checked on it they said it 'll be right out twice. Huge waste of time.

I really wanted to like this place because it’s very cute and vibey but the service was abysmal. The server, Edwin, said he would clean off a table for me and proceeded to not do it for 15 minutes. And no, it was not busy at the time. I actually had to request he clean it. He then did not ask again if I needed anything after I ordered, if I wanted a box I had to ask to order something else. Finally he came over and handed my my check after I packed all of my things, making it obvious that I was ready to go. It was insane. Meanwhile, he’s polite and chatty with the two other couples there. And yes, I still tipped 20% because that is an issue of supporting workers. But I wouldn’t recommend it. Absolutely a shame. The person who served me a latte over at the coffee bar was so sweet too. Finally, the food was pretty good. The layout of the cafe makes it most appealing the service, not so much.

The hotel that the café is connected to is really nice and cozy. I got the breakfast burrito, fruit cup, and chocolate almond latté. Everything was great, but this burrito is next-level!
