Royal Hotel - KALBAR

My recent dinner experience at this restaurant was overall positive. The staff greeted us with a smile and our entrees, particularly the sticky wings and cheesy garlic bread, were delicious. The main courses were also good, although the veggies were lukewarm and the potato was lumpy and lacked flavor. Despite this, it was a great night overall.

On a tour the 32 of us stopped in for lunch and drinks, our meals were Hugh and delightful, their service excellent and the ambiance of the Hotel for a small town was great.

I recently went to a lunch at this hotel with my fellow local community volunteers during this year's "National Volunteers Week." The lunch was meant to show appreciation for the service provided by these volunteers and thank them for their dedication. Unfortunately, the main course was extremely disappointing. The roast meat covered in gravy was cold, poorly plated, and the portions were small. Additionally, the vegetables were both overcooked and undercooked.

This country pub offers great food and has friendly staff. It is the best dining option in town with a good menu. I initially thought about ordering steak but opted for the pork ribs instead. They were delicious and cooked perfectly, and the beer was served cold. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience.

The hotel is very nice, and staff very pleasant and friendly, there it stopped. We ordered our meal and as the dining area was booked out, we opted to sit out in the beer garden rather than in the bar, we told the staff this and asked if we needed to come in and listen for our number, we’re told, no we’ll find you. An hour later we were still waiting for our meal. On asking when they came to clear away the next table, they said they had been looking for us!! They brought the meal out, but it was all cold, and everything was soggy and sad. Sorry, would have been very nice had it arrived when it was fresh…couldn’t eat it so left.
