Bidrage med feedbackI got married at this venue in August. If you are looking for a small ceremony and photo opts with your own photographer I highly recommend the castle. However, this venue promised many things in a package my husband and I paid for that were notfollowed through with. The package we chose was supposed to make the experience less stressful but ended up being morestressful. There was a huge lack of communication after we signed our contract. After asking for the vendors names or businessesmultiple times, we were always told that they would get a hold of us. We had 61 people for dinner, the food was raw for multipletables. This took us by suprise as our tasting was phenomenal and everything was cooked to perfection. Our photographer was anamateur in a professional setting. She was very sweet and seemed very professional but our photos look like anyone with adigital camera could 've taken them; we are so glad we payed for an additional photographer after we still hadn 't heard from thevenue 's photographer 6 months prior to the wedding. The castle was beautiful, and the bakery they used did an amazing job. TheDJ service provided was phenomenal. The servers were amazing and handled themselves very professionally, even when the fooderrors were mentioned. There were many good things as well as some negative. If Henderson Castle is a venue you would like touse, I recommend getting a list of vendors before signing your contract.
Henderson Castle is a unique bed and breakfast. It was very clean and all the rooms have their own unique theme.. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable especially Louis G the butler. Louis told us allot about the castle's history and helped us locate therooftop hot tube, which we and a couple of other friends enjoyed even on a cold day in November. It was very clean and wellmaintained. Thanks to our wonderful stay and Louis, we will be returning in the summer to enjoy the property once again, thistime with a wine tasting of the Henderson Castle wine .Thank you once again Louis, Ken Patty N
The staff was accommodating and kind. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. Service was a little slow but that?s how BNBs usually work. Our room was clean. Pack your patience it?s not a bustling hotel vibe but it added to the experience for us. We arealways go, go, go but it was nice to slow down. We made so many connections with other guests. We attended the murder mysterydinner on Friday and that was fun! We received an incredible massage on Sunday morning and used the sauna. The spa facilitieswere very clean.
I love historic homes and this one is a gem. Absolutely beautiful in every way. Except for the owner/manager of this hotel Rooms are not well maintained. We had four rooms in our party so I looked at all of them. Bed linen was from the 1980?s. All ofthe rooms. Dirty and grungy looking. Single towel per person. Decor from the 80?s. Do not expect a lot from tho hotel. Webooked with the hotel, $275. Other sites had rooms listed at $110. Go elsewhere
For starters, it was very difficult to get anyone to answer the phone to even book my stay let alone to answer any questions. When I finally talked to someone the woman was rude and not able to answer my question. Despite this, booked three rooms for 6of us for a weekend. The castle is pretty cool but old (that was expected). The beds were uncomfortable in all three roomsthough. It was not very clean. We booked the Haunted History Dinner which was horrible. We expected ghost stories that happenedin the castle along with a history on the people who built it and lived there. Instead it was pretty much a three hourcommercial for the guy 's paranormal you tube channel. Not to mention my 18 year old being singled out as a non believer by oneof the presenter 's assistants. It made my 18 year old very uncomfortable causing her to leave before the end. The food at thedinner was terrible. The chicken was dry and the proportions were totally uneven between plates. Where the dinner was held issurrounded by rooms and the spa. My daughter and niece stayed in a room off the dinner space which would have been awkward if wehadn 't been in the dinner. A couple did come out of the spa in robes in the middle of our dinner. They looked mortified andembarrassed! The bar drinks were decent but very expensive for Kirkland Vodka! The second night, my mom and sister 's room had aceiling leak. The staff couldn 't get a hold of the owner and apparently had no authorization to do anything. Finally anotherstaff person was called in from home and booked them a room in a nearby hotel. Rather than refunding their room, the ownerrefunded the brunch for the six of us, which was weird since we didn 't all move to a hotel. I would not recommend staying here.We did catch the end of a drag show after the boring dinner which was fun! I would say if you want to visit the castle go to thedrag show! Also, Lou was the best staff person there. He is awesome!
