Back Alley Saloon - Kalamazoo

My bartending coworker and I came here tonight to relax after a long day of slinging drinks at the Growlers' field for the Mac and Cheese Fest. Our bartender tonight, Kaya (sp? , was amazing. Her personality and positive attitude lifted the entire bar from the floor to the ceiling. She deserves a raise, a promotion, or at least a gift card to her favorite clothing store.We live in Fort Wayne, Indiana, but will be back at Back Alley, because of Kaya, whenever we are back in Kalamazoo.

I didn't like there long Island ice tea but jibes where good

Last day came here for a colleague of my husband at his work, so there was a huge group. My husband went to the bar to ask for another drink, and I don't suck the woman behind the bar... told him you should have ordered something with your group. Very good. First, you don't do anything to a customer like this at all, ever. Second, what is where or when he buys another drink??? He ordered your business. Give him another drink. How ridiculous. HORRIBLE. We waited for a waitress for 15 minutes to ask if he wanted to drink. No one came to go to the bar. Never again.

The staff was very nice and the food is good.
