Beached Whale Restaurant Bar

Great food, well priced especially if you consider location and choice of cafes around! Atmospheric rural bar: we liked pin up art pics, billiard and a little fireplace. Seafood chowder was bigger than a usual, and a steak was good as well as calamari salad. Friendly service. And quick! We were the first ones at 6pm Saturday but by 7pm it was almost full. Great beer was not expensive at all! Addition: we returned next day… smoked salmon pizza was superb! Rich delicious taste, fresh ingredients. Well worth the price, especially if compared to the “value” of fast food. I wrote this review genuinely, no prompts or whatsoever. Just sharing our honest opinion and wanting good people to keep going, so we would be able to have a great food even in such small places like Kaiteriteri.

We were lucky to experience this fine establishment before the busy season. Despite not any other options in kaiteriteri these guys knock it out of the park. Gluten free options, yummy enough food to order it again the next time your in, staff who actually are happy to serve and appreciate the patronage, but also A funky deck. Our only Complaint: the lit up Stage, with the lonely guitar that didn’t see any action. That in addition to them not asking Glenn Thorpe to Do a set: . Rock on Beached Whale. Canadian Travel Mongers stamp of approval gladly !!

The staff were really nice and the food tasted great! Had the steak and it was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of mint. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal.

Convenient restaurant by water, good for the family. Mussel noodle soup was delicious. They put the WWC game on for us and closed before it ended, but they let us watch the tv outside so we could finish the game so cool. Highly recommend a place with service like that!
