Once I went there (I am a local Hawaiian type), the cashier told me to wait outside after placing my order and normally I would have been fine with it. However, a customer came after me who was a caucasian female who was with her two children, and I saw her order and then I saw that the cashier did not tell her to wait outside for her order, but I and my two children had to. She waited patiently in the cozy, air-conditioned restaurant while my children and I waited outside in the glowing heat. Because I'm Hawaiian? What finally made me a review is what happened tonight. I ordered a few things and then when I got the sum I took the necessary amount of money, but called my son to let him count for the lady (he's 9 years old). The sum was $47.03, so my son gave her $48.00. She took the money, took the change from the register, then looked at my son and without someone who told her that, she put the change in her drinking glass. My intention was to give my son the change for a reward to count the right amount of money, but she decided to keep the money. When I asked about the change for my son, I felt like I should give her that tip. She was entitled to this tip. I will never return to Ninja Sushi in Kailua!
Dready underestimated! The quality was excellent and the prices were quite fair. The service was also very fast with a substitution.
On a scale from 1 to 10, this is only a 3rd not very fresh. In addition, we ordered a Hamachi and got another type when fish.
Told me I ordered something different than what i said. So instead of just remaking it made me pay 2 times. So i had to pay for something i didnt even order. Extremely rude and she ignored me. Didnt offer a solution. Never coming back and making sure none of my friends come back either.
Small local place. It would have been much better if the tables were cleaned a little and the service was more welcoming. We actually have been there few times before we started to look for another sushi place. We like giving restaurants few chances but we run into the same problems very time we are there. Cleanliness and missing items we ordered... Food was not to bad. Update: during covid lots of places were closed but ninja stayed open. Take out quality seemed better than when we sat down to eat.
