Bidrage med feedbackLoves the jungle atmosphere of the kona brewing company. several vegetarian options and staff very ready to adapt to objects that make vegetarian. delicious pizzas and salads and beautiful to have a apple wine option.
After the 2nd visit updated: my original review below was written during a restricted covid visit. I've been back since then and the pizza has improved. they can build their own delicious vegan pizza with a lot of toppings. they also have a vegan Macadamia nuts pesto sauce yum! the garden salad was large enough to share and was very fresh. and of course its beer is delicious. go back! — Listen, if you like good beer, come here. you need food to check your cleanliness, but really you are here for the beer. the pizza they claim is made from the spent chalk is simply not as good as 4 years ago and while there are many vegetarian options, it is hard for a vegan to get a complete meal. updated by previous review on 2021-01-01
We had beer and ordered edamame and chips and guacamole. but we were served a Mediterranean platelet with hummus, vegetables (and feta cheese). not sure if the error was our or the server (but it was good, anyway). there were more than just appetizers because were big fans of the beer!
Great vegan pizza just say no cheese. Also have a hummus plate and chips and gauc, cheap drinks and nice ambience
I’ll preface this review with saying that if you’re wanting vegan pizza, Kona Brewing Co is not the place to go (try Bianelli’s, Herbivore’s, or Get Sum instead). Kona Brewing Co doesn’t currently have vegan cheese, and while their pizzas are great even without cheese, they’re not cheap. When I want that Kona Brewing Co pizza experience, I just buy their pizza dough from the Growler Shack outside the restaurant and bake it at home with my own toppings. I went into this meal knowing that they didn’t have vegan cheese, and not intending to order pizza. I got the Garden Veggie sandwich without the chipotle yogurt dressing and loved it! I expected the sandwich, which felt more like a veggie burger than a sandwich to me, to be dry and bland without the sauce but I was wrong! The chickpea patty was delicious, and while the lettuce and tomato on it weren’t totally fresh, they piled the toppings on and the roasted red onions were the perfect. I ordered chips as my side and they were surprisingly good, as well.
