Bidrage med feedbackWhether you're a vegan who loves to cook from scratch, a casual vegan shopper, or someone like us passing through, this restaurant offers enough vegan options to sustain you for 2 to 3 days. They have pre-made and cooked items you can enjoy on the go (unfortunately in a car park, which is a bit disappointing, or in their equally unappealing seating area). Of course, you can always take your food elsewhere to enjoy it.
This restaurant was just what we were looking for! While staying in a condo in Maui, we had planned to make most of our meals ourselves as we are vegan. Whole Foods had a great selection of vegan options and proteins, which was perfect for our needs. Additionally, its location near the airport made it very convenient for us.
Upon entering the store, you are greeted with anti-bacterial spray for the cart, which may harm our microbiomes. Additionally, there is a strong wireless signal present, showing a lack of regard for our health. Unfortunately, options at the olive bar include olives with toxic oils added. In order to find natural olives, it is necessary to visit Mana in Paia. It would also be ideal to purchase grass-fed bones there, as Whole Foods does not carry them. The food bar at Whole Foods also contains oils that may be harmful to health. While it is positive to see an increase in organic produce options at reasonable prices, much of the produce is still overpriced. It is hoped that management will consider removing wifi and anti-bacterial spray for the sake of customers' health. In the past, health food stores did not offer products with added sugar and chemicals, but now these items are prominently displayed. Whole Foods should be at the forefront of promoting healthy choices, not contributing to the problem. Customers are looking for integrity in the products offered.
Its a chain, so there's a base set up for every store. The prices are alright, there's a good deal of variety in things you can buy from produce to housewares. I'm a fan of the burrito station, you can get a pretty big burrito made for you for 8 dollars unless you add a lot of extra things. Haven't had a chance to try much else besides that, but I'd recommend the burritos. It's also pretty close to the airport. They have banana slip caution signs too which is awesome.
Please can someone start this chain back in Switzerland ? Although I do prefer little local shops that are not too commercial, this big chain has everything I am looking for. Not cosy, not perse local and cheap, but for the lazy dog in me: great. And I have to say that the foodbar is tasteful. Fresh delicious and more choice than with most other supermarket chains.
