Royal Thai Cafe - Kahaluu-Keauhou

This place is the equivalent to a Chinese take out. Authentic Thai food it is not. I ordered whole fish which was fried. I forgot to order it steamed. They didn't ask or confirm. The fish was super dry. They claimed it was sea bass and it's not. Also ordered Tom Yum soup, omg, I don't know what that was. I went on a Sunday so maybe the main chef is off? I don't recommend this place if you're use to authentic Thai cuisine.

L&Ls isn’t the most healthy but way better than this for less money. Just go to L&LsThe portions were small and made smaller by putting lettuce under the food.. the flavor was not at all what I had hoped for Thai.. I worked at a small Thai place in Illinois years ago and I was disappointed that this is the food they call Thai for tourists.The only reason places like this stay in business is because of tourism, the people who know how bad it is don’t go, and the ones who go probably only ever go once and don’t know until they’ve been fooled into believing they will get what they want.

I ordered a to-go order at the counter from Gabby who was showering everyone who approached her with kindness and attentiveness! She recommended the yellow curry fried rice (choices of protein include: pork, chicken, beef, etc) But at the last second I saw the Sambal Beef and plunged.The result was now I have a new favorite Thai restaurant! Thank you Gabby for your service and for walking the order out to us while we waited for our movie to start!

So glad my server recommend their oxtail fried rice. Wow, just wow.

Really good food but closed when Google says their open. UPDATE your ad when you close don't advertise you're open...Bonehead
