Zingaro - Kagoshima

Some of the best pizza I had in Japan. Also the Kaku highball was on the spot.

This place looks great. The food is the same. I just wanted to eat for the ambience. Money well spent

Excellently designed and decorated furnishings, very similar to Pina, which leads me to these restaurants being connected. The staff of the tables were very friendly and attentive. We ordered two vegan pizzas, the Marinara is the main choice. It was a pretty good attempt to make an authentic Italian style thin crust pizza, but was a bit chew and the dough was not very well left and did not torment much. 3/5 for pizza, 5/5 for decor and service.

Not super impressed, staff not dressed in any uniform. Most were wearing Street wear. Had to ask for serviettes and oshibori. No buzzer on table we were seated at. Had to grab one from another table. Ordered the mussels. Think was microwaved as shell freezing cold and uneven heat. Tried ordering 2 other pizzas only to be told not available. Settled on 1 they did have available. Was nice but not great. For such an amazing fitout the staff and food was a big let down. Only saving grace was a nice wine from Chile Should have known when only 5 people eating dinner in such a big restaurant something is wrong. Pity as loved the design and feel. Food was a big let down.

A cozy interior and ok food but not worth the wait. It took them over an hour to bring us the paella I ordered, with no apology or explanation.
