Bidrage med feedbackCan’t add to what others have said. Super delicious food and really friendly service. Mr Take who speaks good English advised on what to have, and then without being asked gave us two different cuts of meat so that we could compare. There’s nothing written in English outside, but don’t hesitate!
A true gem. The head chef is super nice to foreigners, speaks English and came over to teach me how to properly eat tonkatsu. The serving sizes are very generous, definitely worth the price. With a Hill set a beer I almost rolled out of there! You should order the hill set if you want a single big slab of pork with a lot of fatty layering If you want something a little more lean go for the upper cut loin set. Both were awesome and I’d come here again in a heartbeat. I truly felt welcome. Great customer service!
Looked high and low in Kagoshima the Kurobuta Pork paradise for a top quality Tonkatsu restaurant using quality black pork. This is the place the owner has been plotting his trade of Tonkatsu for over 30 years. The pork itself is sourced locally and from the same farm. Every tonkatsu is freshly made as you order. None of the fancy tonkatsu dishes you get but all you need is the original dish as it was made from the beginning. Top quality hole in the wall is what makes this place a gem and a must visit when here in Kagoshima. Seriously friendly proprietor who is the Chef himself. The staff too are very friendly too. Family friendly too. A must visit for lunch or dinner.
The pig is good cook, the sweet are so fresh and very tasty, the whole dish size is also great! the cook is very nice and teaches us how to add the sauce and taste it even better!
So wish we could eat more tonkatsu! The owner showed us the right way to eat tonkatsu, and chatted with us about the history of the restaurant. The portion is big, so we had to get a to go box. Surprisingly, the tonkatsu is still as delicious as the fresh one. You have to visit this place when in Kagoshima!
