There was sufficient time between the different courses. Staff did their utmost to make it as pleasant as possible for everyone. We had a great time. Thanks to the whole team. Very disappointed with our dinner at this restaurant. First of all, the bill is really steep compared to what 's on the plate 105€ for 2 for the menu, a glass of wine per person and a bottle of water). The dishes are generally good but lack generosity and are very basic. The presentation is quite basic e.g. a scoop of puree made with an ice cream scoop, like in the canteen). The wine came straight from the supermarket next door and was very acidic €6 a glass though). The food was not worth the price. But the most disappointing point is the service: we are not Dutch speakers, sorry for that, but the waitress, who nevertheless did very well in English, persisted in speaking to us in Dutch during each exchange just like the other 3 tables around us, only composed of French speakers). The waitress still seemed very young and uncomfortable so let 's move on, it could be simple awkwardness or due to stress. But where this is more difficult to condone is when the plates are taken away from us while we still have food in our mouths. In addition, we had the cheese platter for dessert for an additional €3 on the menu). This one arrives without bread even though “almond and fig bread” is advertised on the menu. We pointed this out to the waitress who simply replied no, there is no bread while turning on her heels to our great astonishment. Double surprise when she returned 2 minutes later with a basket of bread for the next table who had also just asked for some with their dish! We had to show the PDF menu retrieved from the restaurant 's website, pointing out that the dish was accompanied by bread so that the waitress would deign to look at our plate and actually confirm that something was missing. We ended up being treated to 6 tiny slices of almond and fig bread the size of €2 coins. But at this point it was best to laugh about it. And the icing on the cake: instead of offering us a coffee to finish our meal like in most establishments, the waitress approaches and simply asks us how do you want to pay? . OK message received, we have to leave! In short, a restaurant that looks great for really not much. Poor value for money, I would not recommend this place to my acquaintances. The food was beautifully presented and tasted good, but... we sat there for almost three hours for three courses. Plates remained on the table for a long time. Perhaps there was a shortage of staff or something, but three hours for a proper final bill could really be better. Sufficient menu choices (fish, meat, vegetarian) and a menu that changes regularly. The presentation of the dishes is original, playful and appropriate for Efteling. The staff are friendly and attentive. The quality of the dishes is mediocre; no distinct flavors, no high-quality ingredients and many dishes turned out to be different in reality than how they were indicated on the menu. Nice to have a bite to eat if you don't have too high expectations and are willing to pay (too) much money for mediocre quality.
