I found a lot of restaurant's in Alaska overcooked Halibut and Salmon, so this was the best I had on our trip. It's pricey, but definitely worth it.
The service was excellent, and the salmon was delicious. The atmosphere was lovely, which was a refreshing change from most other restaurants in Juneau. We were seated upstairs and had the space mostly to ourselves.
First I want to say we are local. This only the 3rd time I 've been here. Mostly because it 's pricey and the other 2 experiences weren 't wonderful but it 's mom 's 80th and we wanted to treat her. The prices are high so don 't think you 're getting out for less than $150 and that 's beer and burgers. Because the prices are high we expect good service. That was not the case. We were seated upstairs and our server was there to take our drink order quickly. We were not offered wine or drink menus so we asked. Placed that order along with 3 appetizers. 30 minutes for drinks with appetizers 10 minutes later. Husband had Seafood bisque. Asked for pepper and was handed 2 small S/P shakers. I stopped her and asked if there was no fresh ground pepper. She said she didn 't know but could ask. I didn 't want to make a fuss but could see the pepper grinder on a shelf 10 feet away. Bisque was a good serving and flavorful. Our Truffle Fries lacked anything remotely flavorful or truffle like. French fries by any other name served with mayonnaise called aioli. I had caprese. It was OK. At least I had caviar on it. We ordered halibut, king salmon and steak Diane. Absolutely no taste to halibut nor salmon. Husband 's steak was flavorful and medium rare. Salmon was overcooked. We were not served our meals by our server so she did not check on us until we were finished. When asked we were honest. She seemed genuinely surprised. We didn 't stay for dessert. Maybe you can overcook salmon for a tourist but this was a difficult experience for $260. It will likely be another 4 years before we come back. Go to the Twisted Fish if you want food with tons of flavor. We will next time.
Incredible! Absolutely fantastic! It was one of the most unforgettable meals of my life. By far, it was the best bisque I've ever tasted, and I've tried many throughout New England.
I'm not overly impressed given the high prices. Prosciutto wrapped scallops were on point, very tasty and cooked perfectly and the fresh bread was good with a variety of styles. Several others in my party were not happy with their meals or their cocktails and the bar was out of multiple ingredients for cocktails on the menu. Overall I wouldn't visit again.
