Foodland Iga - Juneau

I have the vegan chickpeas pack (Vegan mayo, chickpeas, salad, tomatoes, avocado, sunflower seeds, spices), the vegan tempeh wrap (tempeh, tomatoes, avocado, salad, onion, spicy sauce) and a large salad from salad bar vegetables, including Thai nut salad, curry salad. This whole festival was just about $15, and everything was delicious. I was skeptical when a local told me that the IGA was the best vegan lunch place in the city, but after eating here I warmly agree. Great for lunch to take a walk or to the beach.

I ordered some fruit, the vegan wrap, and a few vegan soups. They even offer Kite Hill Vegan Tortellini made with almond milk ricotta, as well as other frozen vegan options. I highly recommend this place! Just keep in mind that the soups are $7.50 per can, so be prepared for the higher prices that are common throughout Juneau.

This store has pre made falafel wraps. They were 4/10 for me taste wise. Better when heated up. I didn’t pay attention to the packed on date, so my wrap was 4 days old. The next day, I bought a tofu wrap which was packaged that day. Much better. Pay attention to the pack date! Updated from previous review on 2024-06-03

They have a variety of fresh vegan tofu, chickpea, and black bean wraps made daily as well as vegan sushi. The wraps and sushi are very good (best in town I’d say) and I get them all the time! There are other vegan grocery options available if in need of every day cooking items.

I was so glad to discover this market with vegan options listed on Happy Cow. It was a pleasant walk there, and I picked up some pre-made vegan deli wraps. They were quite large, and I could only manage to eat half at a time, so I saved the rest for a snack or dinner later. I chose the tofu wrap, while my husband went for the falafel wrap. They also offered a great selection of vegan dark chocolate and snacks.
