Bidrage med feedbackThis is our third visit to this lovely old Inn. Lunch on the terrace is always a must when cycling the Loire Bike Route which runs right through the Auberge.. Note that it is often closed on Monday and Tuesday. There are very few places to eat close by. Food is interesting and good Hosts are very accommodating. Surroundings are pleasant and comfortable.
This atmospheric restaurant is just a stone's throw from the Canal and easy to reach on foot. We were delighted to receive such a friendly welcome particularly dog friendly to our Labrador Coco. The set menu was simple at 28 euros per head but catered perfectly for both vegetarians and meat eaters. Service was excellent. We were delighted with our find and would recommend the Auberge du Poids de Fer to anyone. Lovely setting outside too but too cold for us to sit there!
What a lovely setting! The restaurant located in a house built in 1699, is absolutely lovely with terrific historical charm and great curb appeal. Sprawling trees and blooming flowers make the outside delightful. The menu at €28 euros uses local products, so it is not extensive but very gourmet. Wonderful wine and very friendly service, a must if you are in the area!
Excellent cuisine in an unusual place lost in the middle of the countryside. Very good service, presentation, wine etc... We were the last customers and the boss didn't put us at the door on the contrary he made us taste honey with bite. Great. Perfect. We will return with pleasure
Auberge dans une maison de 1698, situé sur un vieux chemin de halage des bords de la Loire. Absolute traffic, ideal for children and cyclists, riders, etc. cyclable trail of the Loire. Excellent food. The boss must be discovered as a meal... Many visits to make near the river port and his workshops in the manufacture of péniches, ancient cementeries, vineyards and the beautiful bridge over the Loire to Charity on the Loire etc ....Parking under the trees next to the cows raised in the open air.
