We walked into Stadscafe and the waitress immediately got us an English menu when she realized we weren't locals. She provided translations of the specials and gave us tips this dish is very Dutch, this beer is for drinking slowly and we really enjoyed our visit. We had the stamp pot special as well as the smoked trout salad. Both were amazingly delicious and we would eat here and order the same things again!

If I had an African/Kenyan restaurant I'd want it to feel and look like Cafe Mechelen in Amsterdam. It perfectly reflects the kind of atmosphere I dream of for my own business. The laid back ambiance, the heavenly food, the top notch beers and the dream team that treats you like they have been waiting for you to come in all day
