Bulelani - Jordaan

My wife and I have been to several Bulelani popup events and they never disappoint! This time they were serving a three course menu: a butternut squash soup starter, their famous ribs or maple syrup smoked salmon for the main, and a cheesecake dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious! I had the ribs which are so good and unlike any I've had elsewhere, and my wife really enjoyed the salmon again. The BBQ beans and bone marrow mash sides were also extremely good. We've been a few times now and each time has been even better than the last. Timo&Ossie do a great job making everyone feel welcome, taking time to chat to the guests and creating a great relaxed atmosphere. Can't wait to see them in a permanent location hopefully sometime soon!

Must visit for any rib fan or foodie! I've sampled some pretty amazing ribs in many different countries (including Texas but these are probably the very best I've ever had. I also must give big kudos to the Oyster Soup which we had for the entree that was definitely different but extremely delicious and also the White Chocolate Cheesecake for dessert which my girlfriend said was the best thing she's ever had. We had two servings... I know I sound very enthusiastic but when you experience this quality of food in combination with fantastic service and obviously passionate staff then its easily something to get excited about. Now I just hope these guys manage to open a permanent restaurant :

Everything on this menu was absolutely delicious and surprising. The ribs are usually not my choice of food , but this time I am happy that I listened to the rumors and tried them. Still seeing dreams about them (starting to be worrying really). I am definitely coming back. And bringing friends. The Texas drink deserves special mentioning.
